Simone Kisiel Director, Editor, Producer

Simone, an honors graduate of NYU Tisch, has been an award-winning filmmaker for over ten years. Her films include two award-winning feature films in the horror/thriller and horror/comedy genres that are available on major VOD platforms, a dozen short horror films and several documentaries.

She has produced self-funded and client commissioned narrative and documentary films through her production company, Magic Dog Productions, which she founded in 2015. 

 

A multi award-winning filmmaker, Simone is most proud of the Best Director award for her narrative feature film, Bugs: A Trilogy, from the Women In Horror Film Festival 2018 and the Best Director awards for her documentary short, It's Good Business, from The Global Impact Film Festival 2019 and the Environmental Film Festival 2022.

Simone has also shot, directed and edited video content for brands such as American Express, Microsoft, Google, Intel, Dell, MasterCard, Maybelline and Clé de Peau Beauté and for corporate clients and celebrities. 

Simone got her start in filmmaking at Stonestreet Studios, the exclusive screen acting and production program of NYU Tisch where she was an Instructor, Director and Editor for three years. She is known as a highly organized, detail oriented, creative and collaborative filmmaker and she has extensive experience in film production and workflow, including story development, shot listing, shooting, and directing adults and children.

As a director, Simone is known for her ability to inspire the creativity and confidence of her actors. She is also passionate about editing and truly enjoys the process of efficiently scouring each take to find the moments that will most effectively tell the story and she has extensive experience with the entire post-production process such as post production sound, scoring and color correction.
